The author, a former lawyer turned corporate humor consultant, believes that humor, if applied correctly, can help managers improve their "communications, mitigate conflicts, increase productivity, and enrich corporate culture." This is certainly not a traditional approach, but Kushner is very persuasive in his arguments of how this can be accomplished. He provides numerous examples and helpful advice regarding humor and its applications in various work situations. While not a speech or joke book, this book offers excellent pointers in each of these categories that will enhance its appeal to a wider audience than just managers. Highly recommended.
