R. Allen Wyke is systems integration engineer at Accipiter, Inc., where he works with JavaScript, Perl, and Visual C++ to develop Web-based advertising solutions for the company's customers. He co-authored The Perl 5 Programmer's Reference, The Official Netscape Navigator 4 Book, and an Internet resource book for college graduates. Charlton Ting is a software engineer for Lucent Technologies who began programming in JavaScript with its first beta release. He holds computer engineering and electrical engineering degrees from North Carolina State University and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. Jason D. Gilliam holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from North Carolina State University. He has developed Web pages, numerous C++ programs, and Motif-based applications for Nortel, a leading telecommunications company.
