Synopsis
Professor Seeley's introduction to calculus of several variables in intended to prepare the student for most applications of partial differentiation and line and surface integrals. Further, the author includes a number of sections (which can be treated as optional) that indtroduce differential geometry of curves, differential forms, exptensions of the Fundamental Theorem, linear algebra, and other topics. The text contains an abundance of examples and problems. The problems range from trivial exercises to substantial applications, and most of the difficult problems are divided into parts and supplemented by hints to solution.
