Reviews

For fans of writer Anne Rice, this audio version is a delicious present from Random Audio, whether savored one at a time or devoured in a grand auditory orgy. What an array of readers-- from F. Murray Abraham (Interview with the Vampire), to Michael York (The Vampire Lestat), to Kate Nelligan and David Purdham (Queen of the Damned). Rice is a natural storyteller whose style is perfect for audio presentation and the overall quality of this recording is average. A clever packaging idea makes the packaged set a perfect, if slightly bizarre, gift--heads, hands and feet of three characters in a coffin box can be mixed and matched in the graphics. L.(H.)B.
