SHEILA KITZINGER is a social anthropologist, respected internationally as one of the foremost authorities in pregnancy, childbirth, motherhood, and grandmotherhood. She has written numerous books and lectured around the world on these subjects. She lives in England with her husband, with whom she has five daughters.
