From Library Journal

Warshofsky's tomorrow is built on silicon chips. He contends that economic dominance of this world will belong to the nation that makes them "cheaper, faster and better." Today, Japan is that nation, barely nipped at by Korea and Taiwan, and braced by U.S. eagerness to license its technology. Globally ranging interviews with business folk and officials are mixed with essays on what he sees as the prime Japanese advantages: a workaholic work ethic, heavy government support, and cheap capital. This popularization is made tedious by too many interviews and poorly organized facts and figures. For large technology collections.
