Tidings of Hope is a Lenten/ Easter study with seven sessions―one for each Sunday of Lent and one for Easter. The readings are taken from the Revised Common Lectionary, using the NRSV. The Old Testament, Epistle, and Gospel readings are used each lesson; the Psalm reading is used occasionally. Each reading is related to the theme of the session in which it appears and to the season of Lent and/or Easter Day. A brief exegesis and commentary are provided for each reading.
