Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Laurence Hutchins (illustrator). First U.S. edition. Of all the many Pat Hutchins books - picture books, chapter books, early readers, whatever - this one seems particularly hard to find. First published by Bodley Head in the UK, same year, this is also one of not very many of her books that are not illustrated by her own good self but by hubby Laurence. Anyway, good stuff, great pictures, nice condition. There's a rubber stamp on endpaper (red ink on red endpaper, so not too harsh), and it seems that at some point the jacket was taped to the endpapers along the edge of the flaps. Remains of the tape are in evidence down the center of both pastedowns. Otherwise a fine copy in a very good dust jacket with slight wear to extremities and a two inch tear down rear flap fold. JS.
