Reviews

Math professor Quirin completes a trilogy of handicapping books ( Winning at the Races and Thoroughbred Handicapping ) with this collection of 41 examples illustrating how the previous books' theories can be applied. Unlike other "system" promoters, Quirin discusses numerous and varied factors that can affect the outcome of a horse race: so many, in fact, that the weekend or casual fan will become lost amid the complex manipulations required to select a bettable horse. This book must be studied, not just read, in conjunction with his other books by the serious bettor. Recommended for libraries with at least one of the earlier titles.
