From Library Journal

Based on surveys, interviews, and personal observations, Quinn, a Harvard Business School professor, analyzes why the "baby boomers" are different and how those differences affect society and business. The interviewees address issues ranging from relationships to business to the lasting impact of the Vietnam War. These chapters alternate with those involving three fictional characters who debate the pros and cons of the boomers: Susan and Bif, 30ish, yuppies and ex-hippies; and Gary, 50ish, Susan's current lover. This technique tends to distract from the potentially valuable data. Still, libraries should consider. Terrill Brooks, Baker Coll. Lib., Flint, Mich.
