Synopsis

It's Christmas Eve and the Pigs are headed for Bean Town, but they miss their flight. Luckily, Mr. Pig gets them seats on a special delivery plane. Grade 1-3-The Pigs are back! This time they use the premise of a trip to visit relatives for the holidays in an attempt to explain how time and distance are related. After missing their plane, the ever-cheerful porkers hitch a ride on a special delivery flight (with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and their elves) and make stops in four different time zones. Although their final destination is east, they must begin by heading west. They do eventually reach their relatives, but readers may not be clear on what they are supposed to learn from the Pigs' long circuitous route. Time-zone changes and miles between stops will require adult explanation (and possibly further diagramming), as the concept is not very clearly defined in the story. Fans of the energetic pigs, however, will eat this up!-T.T.
