About the Author
Cynthia Rylant is the acclaimed author of more than sixty books for young readers. She received the Newbery Medal for Missing May, and a Newbery Honor for A Fine White Dust. Her other books for children include the award-winning beginning reader series Henry and Mudge, as well as the bestselling picture books Dog Heaven and Cat Heaven, which she illustrated herself. She lives in Eugene, Oregon.
