Synopsis
Little Mouse's big Christmas adventure. Late one starry winter night, when no other creature was stirring, a little mouse was peeking all around the house to see what he could find. On the table he discovers something sweet and sparkly, by the window something jingly, something bright and flickery. Over in the corner Mouse finds something tall and prickly, and in amongst the ribbons and boxes Mouse finds someone whiskery and jolly, all dressed in red. About the Author
Laruen Thompson works as an editor and lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and young son. Buket Erdogan has honed her lush illustration style for creating designs for children's apparel and greeting cards. She also lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Moore's "The Night before Christmas," this picture book tells of a little mouse exploring the decorated living room and discovering one mysterious new thing after another. Each find excites the senses: cookies "sweet and sparkly," cocoa "warm and melty," and a tree "tall and prickly." Finally he encounters Santa Claus, who whispers, "Tis your very first Christmas and all through the house no one is loved more than you, . . . little mouse." The appeal to the senses, the urge to explore, and the final reassuring message will strike a chord in young children.
