Grade 1-4 Simon's picture dictionary contains definitions for 50 of the most common terms associated with computers. Each page is divided into two panels with a computer term, a short definition, usually a brief explanation and a humorous picture. The definitions are appropriate for children who are just becoming interested in computers. For example, "CrashWhen the computer suddenly stops working" is accompanied by a cheerful picture of a puzzled boy looking at a blank computer screen. Words within a definition that are explained in another section of the book are printed in capitals but there is no pronunciation guide. A lively, colorful introduction to the subject. EFB
