Synopsis

A 31-day sports devotional for the athlete, coach, or sports fan, Ordering Our Steps is a compilation of devotions written over a 12 year span, many of which were originally published individually for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes' Impact devotion series emailed daily to over 25,000 subscribers. Devotions cover a wide range of sports moments and characteristics associated with athletics, as well as experiences from Sayles' personal life. Several devotions have been updated from their original form. Each devotion also contains a scriptural reference with application, follow-up questions to consider, extra verses for more in-depth Bible-study, and space for notes after each devotion. Designed for athletes and coaches of any age, the book may also serve as inspiration for anyone who loves sports. The 31-devotion format was chosen to allow individuals to utilize the book as a month-long study. The format also serves as a great tool for small group and team bible-studies. Questions at the end of each chapter serve as great discussion-starters in a group setting. Coaches and group leaders are encouraged to utilize the book format in group sessions.
