About the Author
Connie Perez, a native New Mexican, is a ranch wife, mother, grandmother, and retired elementary school teacher. She was diagnosed with Parkinson s disease, and after retiring was eager to find a way to cope with her diagnosis. She picked up a paintbrush, and wrote and illustrated two companion volumes on ranch life for young children. She lives in eastern New Mexico where she continues to ranch, write, enjoy life and her grandchildren.
