During a 30-year career as a clinical psychologist in private practice, Suzanne Justice Carr’s passion has guided women in midlife. In addition to individual counseling, Suzanne has created and led empowerment groups and retreats on The New Third Act, Crone Wisdom, and Wise Women, among other topics. Her seminars and presentations have served audiences for the American Psychological Association, the Georgia Psychological Association, the Association of Women in Psychology, Atlanta Women in Business, Jewish Family and Career Services, Emory Center for Lifelong Learning, Millennium Health Care, and Summit Ridge Hospital, among others. Prior to her clinical practice, she served a combined ten years as an Associate Professor at Atlanta’s Spelman College and an instructor at Clark College after working ten years in the public school system in Florida as a counselor and teacher of secondary education. Her PhD from Georgia State University in Social/Developmental Psychology with certification in Clinical Psychology follows a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, from Radcliffe College in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
