About the Author:

Dr. Jerry Sutton is a former faculty member of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and currently at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastor for over thirty years; twentytwo years at Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.  Dr. Sutton is a church historian having written two historical texts, as well as books on practical ministry, and theology. He has also presented scholarly papers at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Evangelical Theological Society. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Sutton is married to Fern, and they have two adult children, Ashli and Hilary. The Suttons make their home near Lynchburg, Virginia.
