About the Author

Ken Heiden is an ARDMS registered sonographer in adult, pediatric and vascular ultrasound. An echocardiographer since 1985, he is a graduate of Grossmont College in San Diego, California, one of the first schools in the country to offer cardiovascular technology training. After working for more than a decade in cardiac labs In California and Colorado, Heiden received special training in pediatric echocardiography at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Milwaukee Wisconsin, one of the largest neonatal intensive care units in the Midwest. he presently lives in Milwaukee where he is a cardiac and vascular sonographer and president of Midwest echo solutions, an ICAEL-accredited laboratory.
