Synopsis
A story to help kids learn important life lessons, and in a fun way, inspire them to be better people at home, at school, and in their communities.
Follow The Hugsmilers, two adorable little characters, as they learn what it means to help people by being kind, caring and respectful. They go on a whimsical journey, engaging in simple everyday activities such as getting ready for school, taking the bus, and going to the park. By helping others along the way, their hearts become full, and they quickly gain the same feeling that a hug provides... comforted, cuddled and cared for. With colorful and original artwork, and the use of rhyme and repetition, kids, without even realizing it, learn important values. This book targeted for children ages 4-9 is the first in a series that will motivate, empower and encourage kids to want to be like The Hugsmilers. As parents, teachers and kids have fun reading, they will realize that they have the power to do great things every day to help make the world a better place, one hug at a time.

About the Author
Jessica L. Simons is a hugger at heart- always believing in the power of kindness and happiness and doing all she can to bring that feeling to others. With a Masters in Special Education from Fordham and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Studio Art from New York University, Jess is combining her teaching experience and passion for doing good into her first children's book. She is looking to help kids everywhere learn important life lessons, and in a fun way, inspire them to be better people in their homes, in their schools and in their communities. She is married with two young children - her very own "Hugsmilers" - and resides in Westchester, New York.
