Synopsis
The fourth edition of this comprehensive textbook combines and develops concurrently both classical and matrix based methods of structural analysis. The book opens with a new chapter on the analysis of statically determinate structures, intended to provide a better preparation of students. A major new chapter on non-linear analysis has been added. Throughout the fourth edition more attention is given to the analysis of three-dimensional spatial structures. This is a book of great international renown, as shown by the translation of the previous edition into four languages.
