Hardback. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First Edition. This copy is in mint, unmarked condition bound in maroon cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. This copy is bright, tight, white and square, there is some spotting to the outer page edges. The unclipped dustwrapper is in fine condition International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. This true crime case is over 100 years old (the murders having taken place in 1892) and the various options have been openly given as to Lizzie's guilt or innocence. So, you ask, what's so special about this book. Well, the author Mr Sullivan has stuck to the facts; he hasn't done what many do in his place: he hasn't used over-descriptive, romanticised language. Nor has he applied the social standards of his era to the 1890s. Author Robert Sullivan, who was Superior Court Judge in Massachusetts, the same court system which Lizzie was brought before for her trial, had seen many of the versions of the Borden story and turned to the official verbatim transcript to discover the true facts.
