I love the old Boris Karloff and Carl Laemmle films and all the serial thrillers from the '30'ies and '40'ies. THE MUMMY captures the slinkiness, the daring exoticism and the sense of high adventure of those great old movies. All of this, of course, coupled with Anne Rice's inimitable style. Wonderful fun.

Page edges are well discoloured, more at the head and fore-edge. Some light thumbing. Gently handled. Pastedowns and free endpapers are very lightly thumbed, so too page edges. Pastedowns and endpapers have some discolouration (see images). This book is in good condition. Dust wrapper has some creasing at the edges. Covers have some wear, especially at the corners and edges. Back cover has some markings. Head and tail of spine thumbed and bearing wear, otherwise this dust wrapper is in fair condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better. The dustjacket has a few wrinkles/edge creases, has a short, tape-repaired tear at the crown (one inch in length, approx) and the upper corner of the lower panel is split with minor loss.
