Beginning with a history, each book offers an overview of typical items for each look, such as color scheme, furniture, window coverings, and flooring. Chapters on what type of decoration to use in each room of the house follow, with projects for making decorative items. However, most projects are best tackled by experienced "how-to"ers because the instructions provided are too sketchy for beginners. Recommended only for larger collections or where interest in one of these styles is especially strong.
