Reporter Tom Chapman has been sent to Colonial Williamsburg by his magazine to cover the one and only presidential debate. Lengthy negotiations between the two campaigns have finally produced a debate panel of four journalists. But when the panelists are given devastating anonymous reports about the Republican candidate's personal life, they know that using them could throw the election to the Democrats. In utter secrecy, a decision is made. By the time the debate is over, American politics and journalism have been changed forever. And Tom Chapman is hot on the trail of the biggest story of his career: the debate behind the last debate.
