Original Cloth. Condition: Poor. First Edition. Ex-library copy with 'Social Club' stamps on the first three pages and the endpapers and in a few places through the book. Quite heavy tapemarks affecting the endpapers. Pages 95 to 98 have also been torn out - I have inserted photocopies in this case a reading copy is desired. Page edges worn with some brown spotting. No jacket. First printing of the first UK and first hardcover edition. Previously published by Fawcett Gold Medal in the US in 1966 as a paperback original.
