The past 12 months have been a period of change for the RAF and, more generally, for Britain's military aviation. Significant commitments remain, most notably in the South Atlantic and in the on-going war against terrorism and in particular the demands of the enhanced British commitment in Afghanistan. The role of air power in the continuing conflict in Iraq remains crucial both in terms of logistics and in providing air support for British Forces on the ground. This book offers a comprehensive listing of all of Britain's military aircraft and helicopters and is essential reading for the enthusiast wishing to keep up to date.
