About the Author
Roald Dahl was a spy, ace fighter pilot, chocolate historian and medical inventor. He was also the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG and many more brilliant stories. The Reverend Robert Lee, Vicar of Nibbleswicke and a charming and God-fearing man, caused utter confusion and often genuine consternation among his devout parishioners. Robert Lee had suffered from severe dyslexia as a boy and had successfully overcome his problems with the help of the Dyslexia Institute. Later in life, soon after arriving at Nibbleswicke, he suddenly developed a particular and unusual sort of dyslexia. Roald Dahl describes the awkwardness of the Vicar's situation on many occasions and explains the simple cure. the dustjacket has a 1 inch tear at the top left of the rear panel, and there are marks as if the book had been used as a backrest for some paper writing impressed into the rear panel of the dustjacket . no other damage to describe.
