Environmental Chemistry provides an introduction to fundamental concepts in environmental chemistry. The book emerged from a short lecture and practical course given to first year students in the School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia. A glossary of terms is provided for readers who do not have an extensive background in chemistry. Although aimed at first year students studying environmental sciences, chemistry, geology, biology, or other science subjects, this book should also appeal to sixth formers studying chemistry or other sciences to ""A"" level, as well as to anyone with (or willing to acquire) a basic knowledge of chemistry and interested in how the natural environment operates as a chemical system.
