About the Author
Gordon Macpherson is a Vice-President of the British Medical Association. His medical experience includes work at St. Thomas's Hospital, as a surgeon on the burns unit of the Royal Air Force, as a general practitioner, and as deputy editor of theBritish Medical Journal.
