YA This introduction to playing music on a portable electronic keyboard has plenty of diagrams and examples. There is a chord chart (major, minor, 7th) with note groupings and fingerings for the left hand, as well as groupings elsewhere for C, F, and G chords with explanations. Possible rhythms and instrument sounds are shown, and as instruction continues, players learn about adding drums, the left hand, chord sequencers, chord progressions, using variation, the percussion band, and much more. Even though every model of keyboard is unique, Hughes concentrates on common features and provides a glossary to help deal with different manufacturers' terminology.
