Alan Johnson was director of the Flamingo Specialist Group from 1978 to 2004. Frank Cezilly is Professor of Ecology at the University of Bourgogne, France. He was involved in the development of the Camargue Flamingo conservation project, co-authoring several publications with Alan Johnson.
