This is a practical basic guide to color theory and practice. It simply but comprehensively explains color theory, its vocabulary and terminology, opaque and transparent colors, subtractive color mixing and provides temperature, tonal and complementary color charts. There are also charts giving gouache, acrylic, oil, watercolor and textile dye equivalents. The result is a good basic guide to mixing colors that painters and textile artists will find invaluable.
