Synopsis
A series of magnificent full-color paintings that cover the army and navy uniforms of the American, French, British, and German Troops as well as plates showing the Indian dress of the period. While the uniforms of the European armies conform to regulation, those of the Americans (both Loyalist and Revolutionary) are more difficult because conditions at that time were so chaotic. Information was culled from many sources including advertisements for deserters. Also includes color plates of weapons, helmets, and orientation. A stunning and visual reference guide.
