“Intricately wrought story with abundant, often strikingly beautiful, use of symbols.. . . The progress of the book is tumescent, gathering sexual pace, and reaching a climax.”

Original Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. The book would be Very Good or perhaps near Fine were it not for some edge tears affecting six pages towards the end of the book. I think the pages have been joined at the base and then rather roughly separated giving them a slightly ragged bottom edge. Top edges of pages also slightly dusty. The jacket has a three-quarter inch closed tear at the top of the front panel, slight chipping at the top corners and top of the spine, fading to the spine and a tiny nick in the base of the front panel. First printing. Very rare. Seller Inventory # 004944
