Hasler is noted for her collections of counted thread designs (e.g., 500 Flower and Animal Cross Stitch Designs, LJ 12/96), which feature large, easy-to-read colored charts of individual motifs for use on the stitcher's own projects. This collection includes many borders in unidentified ethnic styles, several alphabets, and an assortment of contemporary depictions of animals, sports, cars, houses, and holiday motifs. The designs should work well on clothing, linens, and accessories. Libraries probably can never have too many of this type of book.
