Synopsis
In 1998 and 1999 John Bayley wrote two best-selling, critically acclaimed memoirs of his wife, the great philosopher and novelist Iris Murdoch, who had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease since 1996. About the Author
John Bayley is the author of Alice, The Queer Captain, George's Lair and The Red Hat, all novels published by Duckworth. He was Warton Professor at the University of Oxford and is a fellow of St Catherine's College.
