Substantial changes continue to be made in the content, design, and illustration of The New Book of Knowledge\b (NBK ) as part of the overall major revision begun in 1992. For the 2000 edition, a total of 987 pages of text were revised and reset. As part of its ongoing plan, NBK continues to update and enhance the articles on countries. The base article on Canada has been completely replaced, and the revision on its 10 provinces and three territories has been completed. Information on Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, and the relationship of English and French Canadians has been updated and revised. The article on the Canadian government now includes profiles of all of the prime ministers since confederation. The base articles on Central and Latin America have been replaced.Among the 31 new articles are several treating popular topics RBB
