1951, original 1st edition in original binding; not x-library, reprint, or remainder. Book is in VERY GOOD condition, the only adversarial element(s) being: the dust jacket which has chipping around the edges and a one inch chip and two inch tear at the top of the spine, and now in a protective cover. Otherwise the book is VERY GOOD, with no wear to the points, hinges, or the spine, and the interior pages are clean, white, bright, and tight. All the pages are very high end glossy paper, 209 pages plus 50 or so pages of plates of the tablets and the laws printed in black and white on the same high gloss paper; definitely a binding work of art. The book is an extremely detailed translation and explanation of the Hittite laws. Definitely a wonderful addition to any private collection or research effort.
