About the Author

GasGupta was educated at Varanasi, Delhi, and the University of Cambridge. He has been a visiting professor at Carnegie-Mellon University, Delhi School of Economics, Harvard, Princeton and Stanford universities, and has taught at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is now at the University of Cambridge, where he is Professor of Economics and Fellow of St. John's College. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society.

Heal was educated at Churchill College, Cambridge, and at the University of California-Berkeley. He has taught at the Universities of Cambridge, Yale and Stanford. He is now Professor of Economics at the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University.
