About the Author
Mervyn Peake (1911–1968) was an English modernist writer, artist, poet, and illustrator who is best known for his pioneering Gormenghast series, which have become classics in the literary fantasy genre. He was also a noted illustrator of classic children's books including Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Treasure Island.

Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. This Centenary Edition softback was published by Peter Owen Publishers in London in 2011. The book was printed and bound in GB by CPI Antony Rowe. The book is introduced by Maeve Gilmore and Sebastian Peake (respectively wife and son of Mervyn). The poet Benjamin Zephaniah provides a foreword. The condition of the book has been reduced to 'Near Fine' as there is a slight crease on the front cover. There was no dust-jacket. The size of the book in inches is 8.5 x 5.4 and it weighs only 0.15 kg. As with all our sales of books within the UK, we only ever charge a flat standard delivery cost of £3.35.
