Hardback. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Robinson, B.H. (illustrator). Circa 1975. Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Ladybird Series 654. Pink pictorial paper boards. Colour illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Spine is faded and rubbed with slight loss of paper. A few small marks to front endpapers (possibly blood??). Sound and square binding in paper-covered boards. Some wear to the corner tips. Light rubbing to edges. Canadian price sticker on back cover. Faint remains of pencilled price on the title page. Otherwise, the inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. One of the Ladybird Series 654 "How it Works" series. An interesting piece of computer history as well as Ladybird collectible. It is believed this book was issued in a limited edition plain cover for use by the senior staff of the U.K. Ministry of Defence, who would not want to be seen to be using a children's book to learn.
