Synopsis
The Language of Medicine demonstrates the authors unique method of teaching, in which students learn how to divide complex medical terms into their component parts. The meanings of these terms are carefully described in the context of how the body works in health and disease. In a workbook format, the first four chapters introduce word analysis and terminology from the body as a whole. Subsequent chapters focus on a body system or medical specialty. Terminology and complex medical processes are presented in an easy-to-understand manner, readily accessible to students of all levels.

Davi-Ellen Chabner’s name is synonymous with medical terminology. She was the first to write a text on learning med term by body system using word parts. She is the author of two best-selling medical terminology books―The Language of Medicine and Medical Terminology: A Short Course.
