The author, Brian Jones is a well known lawyer in the field of residential property management and has specialized in leasehold law since 1988. Before setting up in practice on his own account in January 2003 Brian was head of the landlord and tenant litigation unit at Shoosmiths. In 2003 he was elected as a Governor of Institute of Residential Property Management and he sits their Syllabus and Examinations working group. He regularly contributes to a number of specialist periodicals in the leasehold field. He has also drafted a number of guidance notes for ARMA and LEASE. Brian is also the author of Right to Manage and Service Charges: The New Regime
