Synopsis
Horndog Blue is a tale of everyman whose hormones outweigh his heart and who lives beyond choice, in pain. A man who lives in the tropics is fulfilled by blue sky, sunshine and blue water, but he strikes a chord with a younger female who pleads for a European adventure. They split up soon after arrival because of growing differences, so he goes wandering and finds the truth about romance.

Horndog Blue is a sad romance achieving brilliant resolution This novel, my third, got short shrift when the publisher (small) and distributor (new age) went belly up the same month. The book is available on special order and is a great allegory about a man who dropped his bone to reach for the bigger bone reflected in the stream below. I think the settings here also serve as a moveable wake on many well known places in Europe--all gone now, buried in gingerbread, smoke and cars. The resolution is that which the narrator struggles to see in baggy black pants and a baggy blue shirt. Like a man in a French cafe, he grapples with failure in love and the three women who taught him that sexual acrobatics are easy; it's the rest of the evening that is not.
