About the Author
Alan Downs is a psychologist, management consultant and author. He has written on management topics for numerous national newspapers and trade publications, including Management Review and Across the Board, and he is the author of Corporate Executions. He lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The author outlines seven "laws" that, he contends, will produce a corresponding miracle when consistently employed in the modern organization, though they apply to other areas of human behavior as well. We learn that extraordinary results have been observed when these principles are effectively utilized. Downs presents a thoughtful analysis of each law: the miracle of manifestation (turning ideas into reality), the miracle of reciprocity (behavior elicits like behavior), the miracle of honesty (truthfulness creates trust), the miracle of forgiveness (which creates the space for learning), the miracle of passion (we accomplish our highest good only when we love what we do), the miracle of esteem (the successful manager holds each of his employees in high esteem), and the miracle of transcending the past (using the power of memory for good).
