About the Author

Charlie Russel is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and information technology consultant, specializing in combined Windows and UNIX networks. He’s also the coauthor of Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 Administrator’s Companion and Microsoft Windows XP Professional Resource Kit, Third Edition (Microsoft Press), and SCO OpenServer: The Windows Network Solution. Charlie regularly writes about Windows XP Professional for the Microsoft Windows XP Expert Zone on Microsoft.com and he is the author of many case studies and white papers on Windows Services for UNIX.

Sharon Crawford is a Microsoft MVP and a veteran writer of computer books. In addition to the books written with Charlie, she has written several other books, including Windows 2000: The Missing Manual and Windows 2000 Professional for Dummies (with Andy Rathbone). Sharon writes a regular column on using Windows XP at home for the Windows XP Expert Zone.

Together, Charlie and Sharon have coauthored numerous books on operating systems. Their titles include Running Microsoft Windows NT® Server 4, UNIX and Linux Answers, NT and UNIX Intranet Secrets, and Upgrading to Windows 98.
