Kindergarten-Grade 1-These books introduce basic concepts and related terms, illustrated with full-page, full-color photographs. Each one is supplemented with a "Hands On" activity. In reality, they are overly simple and use rather cumbersome wording for explanations. Neither the plodding texts nor the amateurish, grainy photos make these books attractive enough to hold the attention of most children.
