The selections are written by a variety of people, from journalists to teachers to human-rights activists, all of whom give different perspectives on this complex issue. Essays discuss efforts to ban imports of items made by children, whether consumer pressure can reduce the use of sweatshops, and sweatshops and the economies of developing countries.
