Gr. 8-12. Racial profiling is one of the hotly debated topics in this up-to-date collection of articles and speeches in the Opposing Viewpoints series. Contributors from many sides argue about issues that directly affect many teens, including prejudice against women and gays, affirmative action in college admissions, the value of diversity training, the mockery of "political correctness." Then there's the question of reverse discrimination: there are opinions from those who deny discrimination exists and also from individuals who discuss whether the U.S. should pay reparations for slavery. As always in this fine series, the core selections are supported with full bibliographic citations--all of them from the last few years--and with a list of organizations to contact. Hazel Rochman
